The Jungle Book is a collection of stories that relate the experiences of a human child, Mowgli, who was adopted and raised by wolves in an Indian jungle. One day Bagheera the Panther discovers a baby in a basket in the deep jungles. Bagheera could not see the parents of the child anywhere so he felt pity on the child, and took him to be raised by the wolves. As Mowgli grew old, he learned the ways of the jungle and also learned how various other animals of the jungle lived. He was accepted as a “wolf” by the other animals.
The tales in this book are fables, using animals in an anthropomorphic manner to give moral lessons. The Jungle Book, because of its moral tone, came to be used as a motivational book. Often readers have interpreted the work as a portrait of the society’s politics of the time. Anyone who would like to talk to the animals will surely love this book as you can imagine yourself in place of the main character Mowgli, the human child who was raised by the wolves and other animals of the jungle and knew their language.
Lovingly recreated as an mp3 audio this CD contains the timeless story of The Jungle Book. Now you can enjoy it again and again
